Hi, First, let me say that I tried out about 6 different kids browsers and yours is the only one that meets my goals. I wanted something that (1) didn't let my kids hit the print button, (2) was very simple (2 don't read yet), and (3) worked. However, I have found one but and I have one suggestion. The bug is strange - I tried to add about 8 websites to the list and all worked except one: http://kids.nationalgeographic.com/portal/site/Kids/ It gives an error and crashes the browser. My suggestion is that the browser opens to a relatively small size. I tried to use the windows shortcut setting to reset it to open as a full window, but it would not respond to the setting command. I've set up the computer so that the kids can switch between the browser and a couple of games, but they don't really understand how to maximize/minimize windows. It would be better if there was a default setting. Another suggestion, less important, would be to allow the "visit a site" button to be turned off. I am going to create a home page for the kids to use that has graphics representing each webpage, so the "visit a site" button will not be useful. Thanks for such a great product! By the way, I'm using it in combination with WinBounds - they go great together. |
